During my time at the University of Illinois, I truly fell in love with printmaking and typography. I set out to create my own typeface, cut it out on a CNC router and then use it to print in the ink lab. This was quite the learning experience. Troubleshooting with the CNC router and finding wood that could be planed down to exactly type high (.918 inches) were some of the technical issues I had to work through. This was the most fun I have ever had, and I am eternally grateful for all of the resources I had available at my university.
